I have an unassigned payment on a tenancy. What does this mean and how do I rectify this?
Q. I have an unassigned payment on a tenancy. What does this mean and how do I rectify this?
Unassigned payments occur in COHO when a payment has been logged but not assigned to a specific rent due record.
Steps to resolve:
Log into your account and navigate to the Rent Collection panel for the tenancy that has an unassigned payment.
Here we have an unassigned payment of £35.
Find the rent due record that has a status of 'Part-assigned' and click 'view'.
Click 'Assign'
Here you can choose which rent due record to assign the unassigned payment to. Once you have entered the correct information, you can click 'Save'.
The assignment is completed when you no longer have an unassigned payment at the top of the rent schedule.
